Frequency Inverter Installation Checklist for Panel Builders

A frequency inverter installation checklist helps panel builders size the cabinet, route cables, and commission the drive without guessing. This guide uses Boray catalog names such as BR100 Variable Frequency Drive, BR110 Universal High-Performance Vector Inverter, and ST300 Online Soft Starter Cabinet as anchors for practical sizing decisions.

Match the Drive to the Load Before Mounting

Start by identifying the motor and duty before choosing the cabinet layout. For general variable speed work, the BR100 Variable Frequency Drive is the catalog anchor. For applications where vector control is the intended product family, the BR110 Universal High-Performance Vector Inverter is the matching Boray name. Confirm the selected family first, then size the panel around it.

Check Cabinet Size for Heat and Clearance

Frequency inverters and soft starter cabinets need airflow and mounting space. During sizing, reserve room for the drive, wiring ducts, terminal blocks, and ventilation paths. If the cabinet is too compact, heat can become the limiting factor. Give the BR100 Variable Frequency Drive or BR110 Universal High-Performance Vector Inverter enough internal clearance, or move to a larger enclosure before finalizing the panel layout.

Plan Cable Entry and Terminal Access

Cabinet sizing is not only about the drive body; it is also about conductor bending radius and terminal access. Leave enough space for power and control cables to reach the frequency inverter without pulling on the terminals. Keep control wiring separate from power wiring, and confirm that cable glands, ducts, and doors can close cleanly after installation.

Confirm Control and Parameter Access

Before commissioning, verify how the drive will be controlled and adjusted. For the BR110 Universal High-Performance Vector Inverter, allow access to parameter setup and motor tuning points. For the ST300 Online Soft Starter Cabinet, confirm the operator interface and starting control wiring are reachable. A good checklist records which control path is being used so the panel builder can test it after wiring.

Run a Final Commissioning Check

Close the installation with a practical sizing and wiring review: verify mechanical mounting, cable dressing, ventilation, grounding, and control connections. Power on without load where possible, then observe the frequency inverter or soft starter cabinet during start and run. Leave the completed checklist with the cabinet so future service work has a clear installation reference.
